Professional History
Dr. Rahal earned an undergraduate degree in biology from DAV College in Jalandhar, India and his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) degree as well as his internship at the Government Medical College located in Amristar Punjab, India.
Dr. Rahal completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Subsequently finished training in Gastroenterology at the University of Ann Arbor, Michigan affiliated hospitals.
Dr Rahal has served on various hospital committees. He currently is attending Staff Gastroenterologist at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Mercy Hospital, San Joaquin Community Hospital and Delano Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Rahal is a diplomat of the American Board of Gastroenterology. He has been a member of American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterology Association.
During his career he has completed multiple Clinical Research projects which includes work published in various peer review Gastronenterology journals. He presented multiple research projects at the National Gastronenterology meetings and conferences in various parts of the country.
He specializes in Gastrointestinal Diseases which include Digestive Diseases, Biliary Diseases, Pancreatic Diseases, Liver Diseases. He is very well trained to perform Colonoscopy, Screening Exams, Polypectomy (Removal of Polyps), Control of Bleeding, Upper Endoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, and ERCP.
